i can’t remember exactly when my fascination with vampires started. i haven’t read a lot of vampire books except for Christopher Pike’s Last Vampire series (and, i immediately fell in love with the story….thanks to my good friend who lent the series to me) and the current book i’m hooked into is Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer. what can i say? i’m picky. sigh….i can just imagine hunting with Edward. and by ‘hunting’, i mean exercise….errrr…..working out keeping that vampiric body fit and healthy.
wouldn’t it be cool to be a vampire? maybe it’s their dark and mysterious ways, their lithe grace, their impeccable style and charm or just simply their natural abilities and a few other remarkable skills that just keep me hook, line and sinker. except, of course, the blood drinking part. i always grimace at the thought of drinking or eating blood. EWWW! YUCK!
Anyways, there’s one vampire series that stuck on my mind — Kindred: The embraced. unfortunately, it just lasted one season. Bad trip! the series introduced different kinds of vampires. it was an interesting plot since it involves an additional layer into the story. a mafia-like vampire gang conflict. well, i’m also a fan of the Godfather series so it was like a buy1-take1 promo of my favorite icecream — pistacchio! 2 birds with one stone.
